Soon Hip Hop is Going to Deconstruct

Soon rap as we know it is going to deconstruct and the new music is going to start. Just this morning I was reading a post on my favorite message board. An industry cat posted his opinion about the state of Hip Hop as he sees it today, and to be honest he brought up some valid points. What’s going on with Hip Hop music today? We see the outrageous antics of established rappers and up and comers day in and day out. There’s not a message board, blog or website that does not have a story about rappers today doing stupid stuff. What happen to making good music? Just recently I read where Master P’s nephew got a video beating up Young Berg. We see videos almost weekly about who stole who’s chain, who smacked who and who is beefing this week. To make it worst the crime, beef or altercation is instantly put up on Youtube for the world to see. Damn they not even worried about getting caught, these cats want instant fame. What’s going on when we see Joe Budden with more reality TV videos than he has actual songs! Man it’s starting to get crazy! Who’s making good music while 90% of these so called artists are up to this coonery!!!

Don’t get me wrong. There is still good music coming out from a few artist. But then we have a lot of artist putting out straight garbage. I am not going to throw any artist names, but you know who they are. If there is one person reading this blog that has never asked him or herself the question, “Why the hell did they even put that out”? I will be amazed. Everyday I here a song and I am like, “WHOA”!

So how is Hip Hop going to deconstruct? In my opinion we are seeing it already. Kanye’s last album which was more geared to a pop crowd. We see the auto-tune jumping from R&B and now being used in just about every other Hip Hop song that makes it to the radio. Hip Hop is changing, but is it changing for the better? Are we ushering in a new era of Hip Hop built off of copying each other styles? Are artist only putting out music that they think will sell or are artist putting out music that they believe in and feel good about?

Just my two cents, leave a comment and let me know how you feel. Better yet check out these clips, whose to blame the artist putting them out or us watching them?
